We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard Australian government agencies apply to their own services.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip link to the main content.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can announce them clearly.
- Text and interface colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content, and layouts adapt to small screens.
- Animation stops when your device is set to reduce motion.
- The enquiry form labels every field, explains errors in words and moves focus to the error summary.
- Phone numbers are real links, so you can call with one tap or through assistive technology.
