Salesforce capacity for consulting firms

Syntmatic provides experienced Salesforce development and architecture to consulting firms that need extra capacity on their engagements. We work to your methods, standards and timelines, so your client sees one capable team and you keep the relationship.

When firms bring us in

Consulting firms usually call us for one of a handful of reasons. Each is a point where senior Salesforce specialists can protect a whole engagement.

  • A Salesforce workstream inside a larger digital or advisory engagement
  • A peak in demand that your bench cannot cover
  • A technical problem that needs an architect, such as integration design or a troubled org
  • Public sector work where experience with government delivery matters
  • Quality assurance or a design review before go-live

How we work with you

Your client relationship stays yours. We work to your delivery methods, tools and reporting rhythm, join your stand-ups and steering meetings where needed, and follow your standards for documentation and code. If your client expects us to be introduced by name, we are; if they expect one team identity, we work within it.

Commercial arrangements are kept simple: a clear statement of work, agreed rates and a named consultant. We do not approach your clients for work outside the engagement.

What we bring

Our CEO and co-founder is a Salesforce developer and architect who has delivered for the public sector since 2019, across implementation, integration and support. That means we can take on design as well as build, review another team's work, and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders in plain terms. We are equally comfortable working with your client's ICT team, their security assessors or their business users.

Ways we can work together

We adapt to the shape of your engagement. Common arrangements include:

  • A fixed-scope work package, such as an integration or a data migration, delivered under your project management
  • A set number of days a week embedded in your delivery team for a defined period
  • A design authority role, reviewing architecture and build quality across your team's work
  • Short advisory pieces, such as an org review or a review of a bid's proposed solution

Quality you can put your name to

Your reputation is on the line with your client, so our work has to meet your standard and theirs. We document as we build, follow your peer review and testing practices, and raise risks early through your channels, not directly with the client. At the end of the engagement, everything we produced is handed over to you and your client in full.

Public sector experience for your bids and engagements

Many consulting firms win government work and then need Salesforce people who understand agency obligations: security, records, procurement and the expectation of thorough documentation. We can support bids with technical input and, once the work is won, deliver to the standard government clients expect.

Starting a conversation

Call us with the engagement, the timeline and the skills you need. We will tell you quickly whether we have capacity and whether the work suits us. If it does not, we will say so rather than stretch. A short call is usually enough to know.

Common questions

Do you work under our brand?

We work whichever way suits the engagement. Some firms introduce us as a specialist subcontractor; others prefer one team identity in front of the client. Either way, we follow your methods, reporting and documentation standards, and we do not approach your client for separate work during or after the engagement.

Can you help with a bid or proposal?

Yes. We can contribute solution outlines, effort estimates, risk assessments and technical responses for the Salesforce parts of a bid, and review the proposed approach for gaps. If the bid succeeds, the consultants who helped shape it can deliver the work, which reduces handover risk for you and your client.

How quickly can you start?

It depends on current commitments. Call us as early as you can, ideally while the opportunity is still forming, and we will tell you honestly when we could start and for how many days a week. We would rather decline than overcommit and put your engagement at risk.

A global consulting partner

Salesforce expertise for a large data migration

Problem
A global IT services firm was migrating an enterprise client's records into Salesforce. Its Python and Talend data teams needed someone who knew the Salesforce side: the data model, the Bulk API's governor limits and the client's automation.
Approach
We joined the firm's team under its methods. We explained the data model and object relationships to developers and testers, managed sandboxes, users, permissions and sharing, and maintained the Flows, Process Builders and Apex that the loads ran through. We loaded notes and files with Node.js, then monitored every load job and fixed errors on the spot.
Outcome
Every object's data was checked after loading, and failed records were investigated and corrected during the migration, not after it. The firm kept full ownership of its client relationship.
